An average Australian
My task is to find out WHAT IS A TYPICAL AUSTRALIAN
I will be writing my perceptions (from the start of term) my information that I have gathered Me as a typical Australian and how has my perceptions changed.
My data
From the data I have collected I have found that… The average family has 2 parents and 2 kids as well as 2 cars one for each parent to drive. The average family is married and lives in a 2 storey house in the suburbs area. They would have a medium sized backyard for their pet, the house would have 5 rooms and the family would speak English mainly. It will be a family of 4. This family would go on holidays averagely twice a year, the parents would earn $72 thousand a year the Mum would work as a office worker, teacher ,clerk or assiatant and the Dad would have a office job, tradie, or clerk. The kids would play sport on weekends and learn a different language at school. They would have 1-2 bathrooms in their house and have 1-2 TVS, internet and various other devices

How my perceptions have changed
My average Australian perception has changed quite a lot, the average house hold is busier and more complex that I thought. Jobs were another thing that changed my perception (even though I guessed part right) Was the number of people that had office jobs. Men not having a teaching job surprised me. Before women had rights, men would teach primarily and women were only allowed to teach kindergarten/ prep. The perception that I made at the start of this task has changed with information that I have found. A typical Australian is a hard thing to find.
My Perceptions
A typical Australian lives in the suburban areas. In a house with 6 rooms, most Australians would have a family with 2 or 3 kids. A person that lives alone would most commonly live in a apartment. The average age in Australia is 30-50 years old the kids are mostly 7-15 years old, in the suburban areas most people would have a cat dog and a fish for a pet. In a family the mum would work in a office or retail and the dad in a office and the trades industry. Most Australians would live along the costal reigon of Australia. In 2015 parents are found with a phone to carry about and the kids Ipads Ipods and laptops. People normally go on holidays at least once a year and visting their grandparnets monthly or every fortnight or so. They would have 2 cars one for each parent.
