WHAT IS ANZAC DAY ALL ABOUT? Anzac Day is a special day where we remember the men and women who went to fight in wars. wE ESPECIALLY REMEMBER THOSE WHO AUSTRALIANS WHO WENT TO WAR AND DIDN'T COME HOME - LEST WE FORGET WHEN DID IT START? 25th April 1916 Why the 25th April? ON 25TH APRIL 1915 WAS THE FIRST TIME AN AUSTRALIAN ARMY FOUGHT AS THE AUSTRALIAN ARMY - IN FACT IT WAS THE AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND ARMY CORPS
ANZAC WHERE DID THIS ANZAC ARMY FIGHT FIRST? IN TURKEY ON THE SHORES OF GALLIPOLI
