International Student Orientation
Immigration Status Rules & Regulations
Your immigration status is your responsibility. Make sure you know the basics!
Banty Says....
Be full time students and attend all classes.
Make good academic progress.
Get authorization.
Notify OISS of any changes in writing in 10 days.
Travel with all proper documents.
Work only
on campus

up to 20 hours
per week.
Follow all US laws.

International Students must..
Drinking age is 21 years old. There are consequences if you are caught drinking underage, providing alcohol to those underage if you over 21, or using a fake ID to purchase alcohol while underage.
Sexual assault is taken very seriously at Trinity and in the United States.
Breaking the law can mean going home.

Following all US Laws
Maintaining your immigration status is YOUR responsibility. Keep informed!
Be proactive not reactive. Do not wait until the last minute to apply for something or to get that travel signature.
Check your Trinity email often!

Remember that you are a student first! Your priority should always be your studies!
If you’re not sure about something, ASK! Always ask before you take action.
