It lasted from 1096 to 1099.
It was called The People's Crusade, and it was freeing the Holy Lands. This crusade was led by Count Raymond the fourth of Toulouse
By Ryan Powell 1144 - 1155 The Crusaders prepared to attack Damascus. The second crusade was led by the Holy Roman Emperor Conrad III and by King Louis VII of France. The Cause of the Second Crusade was the fall and massacre at Edessa. 1187 - 1192 The third Crusade was led by Richard the Lionheart of England, Philip the second of France, and Holy Roman Emperor Frederick the first. the goal of the crusade was to re gain the holy land from Saladin, and the crusade was a success. 1202 - 1204 The fourth Crusade was led by Fulk of Neuil French, and Flemish advanced on Constantinople. The Crusade was originally meant to conquer Muslim controlled Jerusalem by invading through Egypt.
1212 The Children's Crusade was to peacefully convert Muslims in the Holy Land to Christianity, bands of children marching to Italy and children being sold into slavery. 1217 - 1221 The fith Crusade was led by King Andrew the second of Hungary, Duke Leopold the sixth of Austria and John of Brienne . 1228 - 1229 The sixth Crusade was led by the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick the second The Sixth Crusade started as an attempt to regain Jerusalem. It began seven years after the failure of the Fifth Crusade, and It didn't involve much actual fighting at all. 1248 - 1254 The seventh Crusade was led by Louis the ninth of France. About 800,000 bezants were paid in ransom for King Louis who, along with thousands of his troops, were caught and defeated by the Egyptian army led by the Ayyubid Sultan Turanshah 1270 The eighth Crusade was led by Louis the ninth again, and was pretty much the same as the seventh, exept this time Louis was killed. 1271 - 1272 The 9th Crusade which is sometimes grouped with the eighth crusade and was the last medievil crusade to the Holy Land. It was led by Prince Edward, who was later crowned Edward the first of England.
