How to improve the

sociolinguistic competence

in kids, between 7 and 8 years old, using literature as a mean to assist the teaching process?
Provides positive and negative role models behavior.
It's an extraordinary mean to promote affective bonds.
It can also promote ethical development through identification with certain characters in the stories.
Justification:
Tittle:

THE GREAT ALLY
WHEN TEACHING FOREING LANGUAGES.
The Common European Framework of Reference for the Teaching of Foreign Languages says that each student must develop the knowledge and skills to use the L2 in a
social dimension.
CONTEXT:
All that surrounds an event,
either physical or symbolic.
We have to teach aspects such as:
Use of courtesy phrases and compliments.
Use of registration or language variant.
Linguistic taboos.
Use of encapsulated language
(Phrasal verbs, collocations, etc...)
Elements that a textbook
might not include.
Why
Because it's a
cultural transmission resource,
as this helps student in their intercultural knowledge based on the
social context
of the target language.

Objective:
To demonstrate how the use of English literature can improve the sociolinguistic skills in kids between 7 and 8 years.
Specific objectives:
To select
literary content that can more easily adjust to the learning process in kids between 7 and 8 years.
To describe
the literary content that has been chosen to improve sociolinguistic skills in kids between 7 and 8 years.
To analyze
the impact of the literaly content chosen to teach sociolinguistic skills in kids between 7 and 8 years.
Thesis:
"Use of literary texts when teaching
English at secondary education."
GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
To establish the bases for a curricular design where the language and literature are integrated in English teaching for high school.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES :
To increase the time of exposition of the second language.
To generate a higher intrinsic motivation.
To improve the linguistic communicative ability.
To diversify the types dealing with the different styles of learning to get a better communication.

PROBLEM:
The use of literature in English classes is not still established like something firm. Due to this situation, this investigation has pretended to integrate the literature in teaching/learning of English in high school, as a solution to the real problems that were considered in their English classes over the last decade.
