7th Grade Portfolio By Zarak Chaudhry College Research Career Research Careers What I need to become a computer engineer Skills I need other than education What Interests Me about these colleges Colleges I would like to attend Types of colleges that are out there Background School Wide Learning Goals Words that would describe me About Me I am 12 years old and I was born in San Francisco. My birthday is on August 24 and I have a younger brother. I like reading, playing games, watching TV, and playing sports. Despite what people think I am not indian. My dad Pakistani and my mom is Mexican. As a person I am nice, short, energetic, patient, kind. As a student I am smart, helpful, talkative, hardworking, and lazy (sometimes). Be Prepared for College.
Pick a college early and get good grades so you can go to different colleges.

Demonstrate an understanding of citizenship and civic engagement.
Be nice to others and participate in activities The types of colleges there are are:
Trade Schools
Private College
2 Year college
Community College
4 year college
Online College
State College The colleges I would like to attend are either Stanford or MIT. I heard a lot of good things about these schools and I think they are good. Stanford is located in Palo Alto, CA which is not very far from my current home and MIT is located Cambridge, MA which is far away from my home. One thing that interests me about these three colleges is that I've heard that they are very good schools another thing is that they offer many courses. This is good because I am always changing my mind on what I am going to be when I grow up. One careers that interest me are computer engineering. The reason this interests me is because now there are a lot more computers in the world than there were 5 years ago and I like computers. What made me choose this career was that because when I was younger I wanted to be an engineer. Now I still want to be an engineer, but I also like computers so I decided I would become a computer engineer. As a computer engineer I will earn around $80,000 yearly. But it depends on what company you are working for I need to go to either a community college or a state college and I also need at least a bachelors degree in computer programming and computer engineering. I also need to know the latest technology skills so that I can be continuously good at this job I must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills. I also have to be able to communicate well with people I'm working with, other staff, and the customers I meet. I have to be able to concentrate and pay close attention to my work at hand. 2013 School logos, mascots, and mottos The Stanford logo is a S with a tree in the middle and their mascot is the Stanford Tree. Stanford's motto is "The wind to freedom blows."

The MIT logo is the name of the school. Their mascot is Tim the Beaver.MIT's motto is "Mind and Hand" 20 Years from NOW I don't really know where I will be 20 years from now I hope I have a good family, job, and car.
