Ukraine Welcome to Relative Location Absolute Location General Information Government Stucture Most of Ukraine consists of fertile plains (or steppes) and plateaus. The western region has the Carpathian Mountains, the Crimean Peninsula has the Crimean Mountains, and some eroded mountains from the Donets Ridge are in the east near the Sea of Azov. Ukraine is bordered by the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. 90% of the rivers drain into these waters. In the north, a few rivers flow into the Baltic Sea. Capital City: Kiev or Kyiv
Language: Ukrainian

Currency: Hryvnia
Flag: Their government structure is a republic; Independent from USSR, since 1991. Kyiv or Kiev: (capital city) 50°N, 30°E Located in Eastern Europe, Ukraine is geographically positioned in the northern and eastern hemispheres.
