-By 1914 nearly 5.09 million out os 23.8 million women
in britain were working.
-thousands of women worked in factories and took over many of the mens jobs.
-women also helped builed and repair air craft for the military. MILITARY SERVICES
-Nursing became almost the only area of female contributation that involved being at the front and experiencing the war.
-The VADS were not allowed in the front line until 1915 WORLD WAR TWO
-By 1945 more than 2.2 million women were working in war industries, building ships, air crafts, vehicles, and munitions.
-Women also worked in factories munition plants and farms and also trucks to provide logistic support to soldiers and entered professional areas of work that were previesly the jobs of men.
-In the allied countries thousands women enlisted as nurses serving on front lines. THE CHANGING ROLE OF WOMEN
-During world war 1 changed poeples attitudes toward women. All around the worlds women served their country by taking over work done by the men who went to fight.

--As the propect of the war became increasingly likely, the government wanted to increase the amount of food grown within britian. In order to grow more food, more help was needed on farms, so the government started the women's land army what important role did women play during world war 2;

-women also had to do their husbands job while they were fighting in the war adding to their workload. How did world war 2 change the role of women?
-In the 19th century and early 20th century, mostly in the U.S women were thought of as inferior. Men did anything they possibly could to prevent women for entering certian parts of the industry, backing up their actions with"Men are stronger than women".
Women relegated to being seamstresses, some were secretaries, nurse, phone operators, and majority were house wives. women during world war two
