My paper begins with a brief background introducing how slavery changed society’s views on interracial relationships. Then, it goes into greater details concerning interracial relationships, and finally it ends with a discussion of the benefits of interracial relationships.

• In 1967, American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) attorneys convinced the Federal Supreme Court to take a case from Virginia known as Loving v. Virginia.
Since most states had removed their anti-miscegenation laws in 1967, there has been an extensive increase of interracial relationship in America.
