The company of Coca-Cola has been making the original drink since 1886. The company has grown to selling in 200 countries all over the world. Coca-Cola owns or license and market more than 500 nonalcoholic beverage brands that produce over 3000 different products including Coca-Cola and Sprite.

Muhtar Kent is joined the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta in 1978. From there he worked his way up to become Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. Before that he was President and Chief Executive Officer and even earlier, he was President and Chief Operating Officer.

Coca-Cola Company headquarters is located in Atlanta Georgia at 1 Coca Cola Plaza NW. The building was completed in 1979 and stands at 29 stories high.
In 1886 Dr. John S. Pemberton created a soft drink that would soon become Coca-Cola. Once the drink was finally out for the public, it was being sold for 5 cents per glass. Two years after the drink was created, it became the #1-selling sparkling beverage. By the time World War II began, Coca-Cola was being bottled in 44 countries.The drink continued to expand all over the world. Until 1905, the soft drink, marketed as a tonic, contained extracts of cocaine as well as the caffeine-rich kola nut. In the 1950's, Coca-Cola started to be sold in 6.5-ounce bottles, and larger sized bottles such as 10-, 12- and 26-ounce versions. Cans were then introduced and became available in 1960.
