Thousands more have been injured or are at risk through hunger and disease.

Many hectares of crops have been destroyed, livestock has been washed away, and infrastructure has been damaged.
Phoenix parents & staff, Scotland Malawi Partnership through the Scottish Government & Kids World donated towards affected families in Chikwawa to help overcome the effects of these devastating floods.
Weeks of torrential rain in Malawi have resulted in extensive flooding across the country

Several areas of the country have been declared disaster zones.
On arrival at camp, the team got busy with arranging all the donations into individual packs
Getting to Bodza Village was a challenge with the damaged roads and bridges
The team even got into some vehicle problems.
Jordan Dowbush was well equipped and got his car on the road again in no time.
Relief packs were donated to 70 families from Bodza and Livunzu Villages in Chikwawa
Relief packs consisted of
Maize and flour
to all Phoenix parents, children and staff
