Penicillin Alexander Fleming Alexander Fleming was a Scottish bacteriologist, he was also a nobel prize winner. Who was Alexander Fleming? Alexander Fleming discovered a drug which could kill bacteria. He named it Penicillin, which is an antibiotic What did he do? He was born on 6 August 1881
and he died on 11 March 1955.
He discovered Penicillin on September 28, 1928 When was he born and when did he discover penicillin? He was born in Lochfield, Ayrshire and his lab was in St Mary's Hospital, Manchester.
