Transcript of Dynamic Worship

It's about God!
Stick with me, friends. Keep track of those you see running this same course, headed for this same goal. There are many out there taking other paths, choosing other goals, and trying to get you to go along with them...All they want is "easy street"..."easy street" is a dead-end street...But there's far more to life for us. We're citizens of high heaven.
Philippians 3:17-20
Proverbs 13:7
A pretentious, showy life
is an empty life;
a plain and simple life
is a full life.
It helps us
simplify life
Worship
gives peace
Worship gives us
a "God Focus"
Our worship-life
aligns us with the
Master's Direction
Prepares Us
for Eternity
Ephesians 5:17
Don't live carelessly, unthinkingly.
Make sure you understand
what the Master wants.
Philippians 3:13-14
...I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
You will keep in perfect peace
all who trust in You,
all whose thoughts are fixed on You
Isaiah 26:3
You were made by God and for God --
why dynamic worship?
until you understand that
nothing else makes sense...
so let's make some sense
It's not about YOU
Let's get the big picture...
It's not about YOU
Because we're citizens of heaven...
how do I worship?
Psalm 147:11
The LORD is pleased only with those who worship Him and trust His love.
Worship-life is about pleasing Him
The worship
of God is not a part-time job
Worship-life
is more than music
and liturgy
Isaiah 29:13
And so the Lord says, “These people say they are Mine. They honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. And their worship of Me is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote.
Romans 12:1
So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him.
Psalm 147:11
The LORD is pleased only with those who worship Him and trust His love.
Revelation 4:11
“You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For You created all things, and for Your pleasure they exist.”
Worship IS our life
2 Corinthians 5:9
Cheerfully pleasing God is the main thing, and that's what we aim to do, regardless of our conditions.
Mark 12:29-30
Jesus replied, “...And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.”
"I got lots
out of today's worship service"
"I got nothing
out of today's worship service"
"I believe God made me for
a purpose...but He also made
me fast, and when I run,
I feel God's pleasure."

"Dynamic Worship" is the power of God working in the everyday lives of His people to bring Him pleasure -- particularly when we gather around His Word and Sacraments and rest in Him
Acts 2:42-47
That day (Pentecost) they committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers...They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved.
Follow the example of those who have gone before us...
His story was told in "Chariots of Fire"
