How do properties of metals affect the ways that they are used?
The Three main properties of metals are Malleability, Conductivity, and Luster.
The Periodic Table
Luster
Metals are shiny or glossy when cut, scratched, or polished. Silky luster can be used for optical sensor.
Malleability
Malleability is when metals are strong but are easy to bend or easily shaped. When a metal has malleability it can be shaped into jewelry and etc.
Conductivity
Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity like copper and pans . Copper is ductile which means it can be made into wire.
People use metals for utensils, lights, cans, pans, bikes, knobs, cars, computers, sharpeners, and more.
