Appalachian Trail aNIMALS Bears Snakes Moose Rabbits Mammals Has a body covered in hair, They feed thier young with milk and gives birth to live young. Mammal(noun)- They have their bodies mostly or all
the way covered in hair. They give live birth and feed their young with milk. A few mammals are... Bears- Omnivores, they eat any thing from berries, twigs, leaves and bark. They also eat fish, grubs, elk, bees and crickets. Bears are highly territorial. They are also very protective of their young. Moose- Very talented swimmers, they eat the veggitation that grows near the lakes. They shed their antlers every year and start growing them back in March. They are herbivores. They are very dangerous ecspecially when they are with their calves. Different Frogs AND TOADS American Toad- A nocternal creature, it feeds on insects. Hybrids of the Woodhouse toad has been found. American Toad (not hybrid) Gray Treefrog- They have rough skin, and it is a greenish and grey tint to it. On it's stomach, it is a firey orange. Woodhouse's Toad- A nocturnal frog, spends it's nights eating bugs. Just a few birds American Coot- They dive to the bottom of lakes for their food. They are in the duck family. Belted King fisher- While searching for fish, it sits quietly over the lake or stream it's fishing in. It's diet includes, crayfish, salamanders, lizzards, mice and insects. Yellow- throated warbler-This attractive warbler is usually found in live oaks draped with Spanish moss or in longleaf pines.
