1st Block 1. What can Geothermal
energy be used for? Basic heating and cooking!!
such as heating up food and
having heat when it gets cold
outside. Also to heat and cool
buildings. 2. How is geothermal energy easily
renewed? Its easily renewed because engineers
can drill into earths crust and
get geothermal energy!! 3. What is the cost of using geothermal
energy? Geothermal energy changes in price by how much you us it. It can be low or high in price. If you live near a hot spot in the earths crust it will be low in price. 4. What are the positive aspects of using
geothermal energy? We can produce geothermal energy.
Geothermal energy is one of the
best natural energy's around. Geothermal
energy has no pollution. It can be very cheep. 5. What are the negative
aspects of using geothermal energy? Installing the heating system can be very high in price.
It is not easily transported. If you live in a place that does not have a thin layer of earths crust it will be very hard to get. 6. What is the science behind
geothermal energy? The science behind geothermal energy is the machinery that they have to use to get it out of the ground. How is geothermal energy gathered or created? Geothermal energy is gathered when engineers pump the hot water out of the earths crust. How is geothermal energy
stored for later use? Some geothermal heating systems store geothermal energy in large battery systems! What are the waste by-products of geothermal energy? There are no waste by-products of geothermal energy. Geothermal energy is completely clean!! Currently, what is keeping geothermal energy
from widespread use? A lot of place don't have thin enough crust.
Some countries do not know about geothermal energy. 7.When is geothermal energy
expected to be easily accessible to the general public? Geothermal energy is already used in up to 90
countries, many of them developing countries. 8.Collect photographs, diagrams, charts, and stories of people who are working with geothermal energy!! Archaeological evidence shows that the first human use of geothermal resources in North America occured more than 10,000 years ago with the settlement of Paleo-Indeans at Hot Springs. The springs served as a source of warmth and cleansing, their minerals as a source of healing. While people still soak in shallow pools heated by the Earth, engineers are developing technologies that will allow us to probe more than 10 miles below the earth's surface in search of geothermal energy. How is energy stored for later use? Some geothermal heating systems store geothermal energy
in large battery systems. Most geothermal energy, however,
like most other forms of energy, must be used as it is
produced!! What are the waste by-products of geothermal energy? A plant that produces geothermal energy! Resources
