Personal opinion
Is about the Anunciation: it means that the Angel Gabriel says to Maria that she is going to have a baby, the future king and there appears the Angel Gabriel and Maria.
The light and color are Renaissance and the painting is between the Gothic and the Renaissance ages, but this make the people that the painting is made after than Fra Angélico died.

IMAGE OF THE PAINTIG
The origin of the Angelus is difficult to trace exactly, but goes back at least to the 13th century, when he prayed only at night. The addition of the Angelus in the morning, then at noon time came later, which is not pious tradition associated with the triple Angelus. Until the 19th century, few people had access to personal means of telling time, and dependent on the bells of the church for the usual times for Mass, for the hours of the Office, etc, so that prayer you Angelus is associated with the ringing of the Angelus bell.

What this painting by Fra Angelico does is fully and explicit state that the Annunciation marks the actual incarnation of Jesus Christ - the moment that Jesus was conceived and that the Son of God became the son of the Virgin. It is the celebration of God's action in entering the human world as Jesus in order to save humanity and the free and willing acceptance by Mary of God's action of the task of being the Mother of God
