Chapter 1
Animal Farm - Changing of the 7 Commandments
The 7 Commandments are Made
After the animals have taken over Manor Farm, and have changed the name to Animal Farm, they decide to write the principals of animalism on the Barn wall for everyone to see.
Changes Start to Happen
In Chapter 6, the pigs allegedly break one of the 7 Commandments by sleeping in the bed in farm house. They say they need to do this because their brains need more rest due to them being smarter. Muriel reads the commandment out to the animals after this dispute, and it reads "No animal shall sleep in a bed
with sheets
"
Another Alleged Change
When some of the Animals admit to helping or being in touch with Snowball, whom was exiled from Animal farm, they were promptly slaughtered by the dogs who guarded Napoleon. The animals again thought the pigs disobeyed the Commandments but when Muriel checked them, it read "No Animal shall kill any other animal
without cause
"
The Pigs starts drinking Alcohol
When Squealer went to talk to the animals in the Barn one morning, the animals noticed something wrong with him, it seemed as if he was sick but this wasn't the case. He was, in fact, intoxicated by alcohol. He said that Napoleon was dying but he had a Hangover form the night before. The Commandments read "No Animal shall drink alcohol
to excess
"
The Pigs start wearing Clothes
The Animals notice the pigs wearing human clothes. Napoleon is wearing a cloak. The Animals know something is going on here so they ask Muriel to again check the Commandments, he reads out "All animals are equal but some are more equal than others"
