Psych Superheros & Villains
Amy Amygdala
Area of the Brain:
The Amygdala is an almond shaped set of neurons located in the temporal lobe. It is part of the limbic system and controls the bodies fear and aggression. The amygdala is also associated with the processing of emotions
.
The Lingual Left
Area of the Brain:
The left hemisphere controls a person’s language, speech and writing along with the muscles on the right side of the body. In contains Broca’s area, which controls language expression and directs muscle movement involved with speech. The left hemisphere also houses Wernicke’s area which controls language reception and controls comprehension. The left hemisphere is also responsible for reading and math.
Amy Amygdala
Super Powers and Weaknesses:
Amy Amygdala, a vicious super villain, uses her outrageous aggression to harm superheroes and inhibit their good deeds. She tortures civilians by creating an unbearable sense of fear for anyone that comes within a miles distance. Amy is known for her skimpy clothing, which she wears intentionally to attract and distract men. Her major weakness is that she is overemotional. A small crush on a potential suitor can send her into a frenzy while a minor insult can send her into a diastourous rage.
The Lingual Left
Super Powers and Weaknesses:
As the more dynamic part of this dynamic duo, the Lingual Left has the ability to read peoples mind and has a lethal right handed punch that can take out any opposition. He has the ability control peoples mind and what they say. His greatest weakness is his blatantly weaker left side and that he can be debilitated by the Super Stroke, which disables his ability to read and control people’s minds.
The Righteous Right
Super Powers and Weaknesses: T
he Righteous right, the more artsy side of the dynamic duo, can hypnotize people by making them look at his outrageous artworks. His high pitched singing voice can deafen any villain that crosses his path. The Righteous Right has a deadly left uppercut and left side-kick that can knock out any opposition. He has the ability to make villains go crazy by inhibiting their spatial reasoning, making them misjudge distances while jumping from building to building, causing them to fall to their deaths. Weaknesses include a weak right side of the body and a below average athletic ability.
The Righteous Right
Area of the Brain:
The right hemisphere controls the muscles on the left side of the body and overall feeling. It also is in charge of interpretation, reasoning, and spatial relation. The right hemisphere is also responsible for a person’s artsy and creative abilities.
Medulla the Med Student
Super Powers and Weaknesses:
Medulla the Med Student brings victims back to life by restarting their heartbeats. He uses his superhero med kit to help them breathe again if they are struck by a super villain. However his weakness is that when he helps patients, he sometimes keeps them waiting too long in his superhero waiting room.
Medulla the Med Student
Area of the Brain:
The medulla controls the heartbeat and breathing.
Brock
Super Powers and Weaknesses:
Brock can control the mouths and speech of super villains. He can force suspects to admit the crime they have committed in order to find the true culprit. His weaknesses are he does not stop talking. He will talk your ear off. However this can be useful as a form of torture for imprisoned villains.
Brock
Area of the Brain:
Broca’s area is an area in the left frontal lobe that controls speech muscles.
Patricia the Pituitary
Super Powers and Weaknesses:
Patricia the Pituitary is the mom of the superheroes. Although small, she has a huge role. She makes sure that each superhero grows up and is the best he/she can be. She also watches over the city and alerts the superheroes when there is trouble. She sends out messages, and the superheroes respond by saving the city.
Patricia the Pituitary
Area of the Brain:
The pituitary gland is the “master glad”, so it is an endocrine gland that releases hormones that regulate growth. It also secretes hormones that influence other pituitary glands.

The Speed Demon
Super Powers and Weaknesses:
The Speed Demon is a villain that has super speed as his power. He uses it to escape superheroes. However he gets tired very easily and can only run for 10 minutes.
The Speed Demon
Area of the Brain:
The primary motor cortex generates neural impulses that pass down to the spinal cord and control the execution of movement. It is located in the rear of the frontal lobes and controls voluntary movement.
The Malicious Motus
The Malicious Motus
Area of the Brain:
The frontal lobes are portions of the cerebral cortex that lie just behind the forehead. They are involved in speaking and muscle movements and in making plans and judgments. The frontal lobes house the primary motor cortex, which controls voluntary movement.

Super Powers and Weaknesses:
The Malicious Motus is a super villain who can move objects with his mind. His unique name is Latin for movement. He uses his powers for evil, throwing miscellaneous objects at superheroes. He can also move smaller superheroes with his mind. Thankfully, this villain has one weakness: when his body parts are “asleep” (tingling), he is paralyzed and has no control over his movement or the movement of others.
Thalamiss
Super Powers and Weaknesses:
Thalamiss is the leader of the super villains because of her ability to relay information and her superpower to which can put people to sleep. She’s super alert and is always ready to fight crime. She can bring superheroes back to consciousness, and she can also put them into a soothing sleep if they are stressed. However one of her weaknesses is that once a year, she falls into a deep sleep and is unable to be woken up. This is caused by her deprivation of sleep since she is excessively alert the rest of the year.
Thalamiss
Area of the Brain:
The thalamus sends out sensory messages to the rest of the body. It also regulates sleep, alertness, and consciousness.
Area of the Brain:
The parietal lobes integrate sensory information. They determine spatial sense and navigation. The parietal lobes are a portion of the cerebral cortex that lies at the top of the head towards the back. These lobes receive sensory input for touch and body position.
Iudicium
Iudicium
Super Powers and Weaknesses:
Iudicium’s job is to navigate the superheroes to the destination of crime. Once there is an alert call, Iudicium assembles the vehicle and maps out the quickest route to get to the scene. He can also sense how close a villain is to a superhero, and he can warn the superhero to be aware of the approaching threat. He is also handy because if a superhero is ever taken captive, Iudicium can figure out the precise location of the hero and send someone to free him/her. Iudicium has one flaw: he is a backseat driver, and no superheroes like driving with him in their downtime.
