Q5. How did you attract/address your audience?
Transcript of Q5. How did you attract/address your audience?
The layout choice I made was one that had similar attributes to already made magazines, such a VIBE, HipHop and many more, doing this would make it easy to spot out as a magazine of its respective genre therefore appealing to audience and also attracting them.
As my audience are young students to attract them to my magazine within there are competitions to win prizes to concerts, the latest stories keeping my audience posted with the lives of their favourite artists and A3 posters of artist to pin up on their walls.
When making up my magazine and thinking of text I had to keep in of who my audience were, as my audience were students from the age of 13-25 I had to make sure the text was easy to read and understand, and as I myself am within the age range of my target audience all I had to do was make sure I could understand my own work without using big fancy words but simple and modern words.
As mentioned before I followed the layouts of already made magazines taking ideas to attract my audience.
I followed the same ideas for my contents page where I took ideas from previous magazines to come about with a layout and design of my page to be able to attract my audience and addresses my audience easily.
My idea for my double page spread was to make it easy to read and make the topic interesting to the audience and address them in a way as it was an exclusive interview of a famous star, on most magazines having exclusive interviews attract readers much better.
