The first African to "break color barrier" in the MLB.
He also protested but never fought back even when people where saying nasty things at him.
Like Rosa Parks he to once did not give up his seat on a bus and got aressted. He was the role model for other African players in major league baseball.

Jackie got draffted into the army in 1942
