Southeast Asia Cambodia Indonisia Philippines Thailand Vietnam Cambodian culture not only includes the culture of the lowland ethnic majority, the Khmer, but of also some 20 culturally distinct hill tribes colloquially known as the Khmer Loeu, a term coined by Norodom Sihanouk to generate unity between the highlanders and lowlanders. Key ingredients in Cambodian cuisine are kaffir lime, lemon grass, garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, curry, tamarind, ginger, oyster sauce, coconut milk and black pepper.
Education in Cambodia was traditionally offered by the wats (Buddhist temples), thus providing education exclusively for the male population.
Buddhism has existed in Cambodia since at least the 5th century CE, with some sources placing its origin as early as the 3rd century BCE. The politics of Cambodia formally takes place according to the nation's constitution (enacted in 1993) in a framework of a parliamentary representative democratic monarchy, whereby the Prime Minister of Cambodia is the head of government, and of a multi-party system. Cambodia is renowned for its superb silks; much of it is dyed by using natural colors from plants and minerals. This kind of clothing is used during weddings and also by Classical Khmer dance performers. Malaysia Malaysian culture or Malaya culture is a mixture of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and various indigenous tribes dating back to more than fifteen hundred years ago from a Kedah kingdom in Lembah Bujang with traders from China and India. Rice tends to be a staple food in Malaysia as in most countries in the region. The rice eaten in Malaysia tends to be the local variety of rice or fragrant rice from Thailand, its northern neighbour. Education may be obtained from government-sponsored schools, private schools, or through homeschooling. Malaysia is a multiconfessional society, with slightly more than half of its people being Muslims. The internal conflicts the nation has faced have generally been precipitated by ethnicity rather than religion. Malaysias Government is a Constitutional Monarchy. There are many television shows about fashion in Maylaysia and they many wear dresses and guys wear jeans and a dress shirt. Malaysias entertainment is mainly television and festivals.
