Morquio Syndrome
Morquio Syndrome was first discovered by Luis Morquio, a well-known Uruguayan physician, in 1929 when he returned to Uruguay
Kids with Morquio Syndrome changes over time as they are growing
They could be having spine and bone conditions that make it hard for them to walk and may require a wheelchair
Others can have breathing, vision, or cardiac issues, it can become worse as they make it into adulthood

What is Morquio Syndrome?
-"Morquio syndrome is a rare inherited birth defect that is estimated to occur in one of every 200,000 births."
What are the symptoms of Morquio Syndrome?
- The symptoms of Morquio Syndrome can be "abnormal development of bones, bell-shape chest with ribs flared out at the bottom, coarse facial features, hyper-mobile joints, knock knees, large head, short stature, and widely spaced teeth."
People with Morquio Syndrome don't have a very long life since it cannot be cured
People with Morquio Syndrome normally live to approximately age 30
People that have this disease can live until the age of 60 if it's detected early and treated
