Federal Election 2010 Vic Election 2010 NSW Election 2011 The sex party recorded the highest vote of minor parties and independents in three out of the four upper house regions it contested. We doubled out Senate vote since the federal election - going from 2 to 4% We beat all three Christian parties (Christian Party, Family First and DLP) in all Upper House seats that we ran in In the six House of Representatives seats that the Sex Party contested, it came fourth in all but one, beating Family First in all We narrowly missed on on a Senate seat
in Victoria and received more than 4% of
the NT vote We had our name, our policies and a handful of hardworking volunteers, We had no momentum from previous elections, virtually no funds for advertising, virgin candidates and the ability to hand out how to vote cards at only two per cent of polling booths and yet... our election ad was watched on YouTube by nearly 200 000 people We tried to enrol as a party in NSW 15 months before the election - but they told us we were already too late! These ridiculous laws meant we couldn't have our name on the ballot... BUT we ran anyway! Andrew Patterson, our Sydney
candidate received about 2% of
the vote. Not bad considering they
wouldn't even let us use our name! Plus, in Sex Party tradition - we beat
Fred Nile's candidate! We have 11,092 Facebook Friends and
5404 Twitter followers

We're the new major minor party! What's next? The Queensland
State Election Get Involved! Join the Sex Party The party for the 21st century The Australian Sex Party is a political response to the sexual needs of Australia in the 21st century.

It is an attempt to restore the balance between sexual privacy and sexual publicity that has been severely distorted by morals campaigners and prudish politicians. We believe in sexual freedom, and freedom for
adults to choose what to watch. We believe that
abortion should be an option, that we should be allowed to choose what to put into our bodies, and choose when we die.
We believe that the outdated views of others should not be imposed on 21st century Australians.

The major parties aren't in touch with what the majority of Australians believe.
