It has three main pricing stucture:

Fixed airport fees - R295
Per km/minute - R50 base fee + R1.10 x time + R11 x distance
Surge/dynamic price - when demand outstrips availability (New Year, Soccer derby, 3am)
Uber takes 20% of the revenue made from using the service to develop the software and link them to clients.
The driver app communicates with the user app
Pays the drivers/investor weekly
Potential Risks and challenges
An investor needs to properly follow up with the drivers as the culture in SA tends to be of a negotiation and personal cab driver.
Drivers can acquire new customers and implore them to call directly instead of using the app but this can be monitored by the app.
Drivers can work for multiple companies therefore it might be difficult to know when they use the app and when they don't.
Uber will need to address the negative attention it has received in the media regarding legal issues and the use of dynamic pricing.
Facing Uber is a potential ubiquitous history of taxi and car service laws that heavily regulate the industry, and protect the rights of taxi owners. but it can be to Uber benefit eg: http://www.globaladvisors.biz/inc-feed/20140612/anti-uber-protests-backfire-big-time/
Be a step ahead and make sure you don't miss any major growth opportunitie.
The app relies heavily on social media for its promotions, so any controvesial negative experiences comments could affect the popularity.

Sponsorships
One of the most well-known Fashion shows in Fashion Week in Los Angeles is at the Vibiana.

There are sponsorship opportunities for the fashion show as well as the afterparty at the Vibiana's courtyard
Two teams of 3 will distribute tote bags from 7PM - 10PM.
Uber’s app use is on the rise and more small promotions will enhance popularity.
Sponsor two vehicles to pilot the investment and learn operation.
Identify a LLC/entity to use to host the car assets.
Use that entity to draw up a contract with drivers for operation.
Its lucrative revenue sharing agreements and surge pricing method can lead to future earnings growth and attract drivers easily.
