Philosophy of Life
Nicole Snyder

When we begin, we
start at the bottom...
My Philosophy of Life consists of 5 aspects:
1. Charity Never Faileth
2. Continual Happiness
3. Adventure is Out There
4. Family Matters
5. Increase Spirituality

I want to live my life in such a way so that everyday I can proudly say I have accomplished all of these goals
GOAL!
And in the end, I hope I will be able to say that I have done these 5 goal throughout my entire life. My Philosophy of Life defines who I am and what I stand for and that is why I have chosen:
1. Charity Never Faileth
2. Continual Happiness
3. Adventure is Out There
4. Family Matters
5. Increase Spirituality

Thank you!
Goal #1: Charity Never Faileth
I want to live my life with charity in mind. I want to be service oriented. I want to enrich and bless the lives of others around me. I want to be looked upon as the girl who always cares, always helps, and always loves.
Goal #3: Adventure is Out There
My philosophy of life is heavily centered on this goal. I live in the beautiful state of Utah right now. There is so much beauty out there to be explored. I want to live a life full of adventure, never saying no, and never constantly staying inside. I want to see God's hand in nature. I want to push myself to the limit.
An Example of Charity
Goal #2: Continual Happiness
In order for me to show charity and love towards everyone around me, I need to focus on being happy. I cannot fill another's life, if mine is not filled either. Therefore, I will commit to being happy day by day. I will look for the positives in life. I will free my heart from hatred. I will live simple, give more, and expect less. I want to be as happy as possible so I can share that happiness with those around me. Happiness isn't something that depends on my surroundings, it is something I decide to make. I
want happiness to always be a part of my life.
So how do I do that?
I will look for ways to serve others. I will listen sincerely to those around me. I will have my eyes and heart open to help those in need. I will lend a helping hand. I will help lift burdens of those around me.
This is my Grandma, Mama. She is my biggest example of charity. Everyone that she comes in contact with is overwhelmed by her love. She holds no grudges, never speaks poorly of others, and genuinely cares for everyone. Her positive attitude can enlighten anyone's day. It a very big goal of mine to parallel my life to hers. If I can end up, even if it is a small portion, like her, then I have done a good job.
So how do I do that?
I made a very long list of adventures in Utah, including hikes, river rafting, waterfalls, and national parks. My husband and I plan on enjoying, what we call, The Summer of Fun. This summer we are going to visit all of the places on that list. We are buying a GoPro so we can remember all the fun times we had too. Exploring brings in a breath of fresh air and fresh perspectives. I have included this goal in my Philosophy of Life because it is very important to me.
Goal #4: Family Matters
Family means everything to me. I have included this in my Philosophy of Life because without family, I have nothing. The Family: A Proclamation to the World exclaims that family is ordained by God. I want to live my life with family being a top priority. I will continue to stay involved with every member of my family and give my love to them. I will teach my children the importance of togetherness and create a strong foundation of family.
Goal #4: Family Matters
“Our Father knew exactly what He was doing when He created us. He made us enough alike to love each other but enough different that we would need to unite our strengths and stewardships to create a whole. Neither man nor woman is perfect or complete without the other. Thus, no marriage … is likely to reach its full potential until husbands and wives … work together in unity of purpose, respecting and relying upon each other’s strengths.”
Sheri Dew
“The family is one of God’s greatest fortresses against the evils of our day. Help keep your family strong and close and worthy of our Father in Heaven’s blessings. As you do, you will receive faith and strength which will bless your lives forever.”
Ezra Taft Benson

“We should not need a hurricane or other crisis to remind us of what matters most. The gospel and the Lord’s plan of happiness and salvation should remind us. What matters most is what lasts longest, and our families are for eternity.”
Elder M. Russell Ballard
Goal #5: Increase Spirituality
I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I hold this membership very dear to my heart. I want to continually increase my spirituality throughout my entire life. I will do this by reading the scriptures every morning, praying every morning and night, attending church services. I will work hard in my calling at church and attend the Temple regularly. I know that if I do these things, I will bring myself closer to Heavenly Father. I will be able to feel more promptings from the Spirit and in turn lift those around me.
