Cell Analogy Project
Transcript of Cell Analogy Project
How the Death Star is like a Plant Cell
The Chloroplast is like the Thermal Oscillator because it converts energy from the sun to power the Death Star like the chloroplast converts energy from the sun to make fuel for the cell.
The cell membrane is like the Hanger Bay in the Death Star because controls what goes in and out of it. In a cell, the membrane controls what substances come in and out of the cell.
The Nucleus is like the Command Sector because it controls all the functions and operates the Death Star like the nucleus operates the cell.
By: Landon Berning and Slater Hancock
The cell wall is like the Outer Wall because it holds to building together like the cell wall is the main structure of the cell.
The Mitochondria is like the Main Reactor Core because is breaks down extra matter to make energy. The Mitochondria breaks down food to make ATP. (Energy)
The Cytoplasm is like the Qudanium Steel because it is the interior structure that holds up and fills in space like the cytoplasm holds and fills in the cell.
The Vacuole is like the Storage units on the Death Star because it holds any important things that they would need later. The Vacuole stores extra water so that the cell can keep plants crisp and alive.
The Lysosome is like the Garbage Compactor because it crushes the excess stuff into smaller stuff like the Lysosome breaks down old cells.
The Endoplasmic Reticulum is like the communication center because it controls where the equipment moves throughout the Star. The Endoplasmic Reticulum controlls where the cell functions move around.
