Transcript of How many airline flights are there per year in the U.S.?

What is your estimate for the number of airlines
flights in a year? Step 1: We found that there are approximately 21,409 airports in the United States according to Ourairports.com Step 2: We then found how many flights take flight per day and it was 35,000 that
fly out of the United States airports
according to a recent survey from USA today. After finding out how many flights leave a day we multiplied it by 365.

12,775,000 http://www.nationsonline.org/gallery/USA/USandCanadianAirports-map.jpg we picked to find out the number of flights in the
United States because it would be alot
harder to find out the number of flights
in the world.

Our estimate would alot closer by choosing the
United States. There is about 49,000 airports in the World. we think our estimation is about right for big
commercial airlines. We didnt include privite
airports. Which would make our estimate
less accurate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNFhvA-YJjQ&feature=fvwrel By: Nicole Banker, Chelsea wheeler, Jared Gray
