Chemical Electrical Radiant Energy is the ability to cause change chemical energy is the energy stored in chemical bonds energy that is carried out by batteries and wall sockets energy of light Energy Knetic energy that an object has due to its motion Potential energy stored in an object due to its position Thermal energy that increases as the objects tempature increases Nuclear energy stored in atomic nuclei that can be transformed into other forms of energy by complex power plants. Law of conservation for energy energy can change its form but it is never created or destroyed Energy Transformation turning a source of energy into something else How are turbines and generators used to transform energy? when a turbine spins it spins magnets through coils of wire which makes electrons move. electrons moving through the wire is electrical energy. Electrical Energy Chemical Energy Radiant Energy All energy originates from the sun. Fossil Fules are nonrenewable. They obtain energy from dead plants. Nuclear Energy comes from split Uranium atoms.
