DEFINED Professionalism is an essential trait both in business and society. It is that quality which drives a person's appearance, personal and professional interactions, and which provides others with a first impression. The Merriam-Webster online dictionary broadly defines professionalism as "the conduct, aims, or qualities that characterize or mark a profession or a professional person." Support Professionalism plays an important role in how a person is perceived by her employer, her co-workers and casual contacts---actually, by every person with whom she interacts. Professionalism can have a profound impact in only a matter of minutes. The way that a person first presents herself in a meeting, whether casual or professional, can form the opinions of each person in the room.
The greater the degree to which a person exemplifies professionalism, the easier it will be for him to be set apart from people around him. This outstanding characteristic will cause his superiors to take notice. Significance Effects Benefits PROFESSIONAL
