General Format
APA Format In-text Citation Desk
APA Format In-text Citation
APA Format is the official style used by the American Psychological Association and is commonly used to cite sources in psychology, education and social sciences.
In- Text Citation is a brief mention in the text of your paper.
The first edition APA ( publication manual ) was introduced in 1929.
Citing websites
Use the author and date if known.
If the author is not known, use the title and the date.
For long titles just use the first few words.
For sources with no date use n.d. (for no date) in place of the year: example (Smith, n.d.)
Example in-text citation for section of website with no author:
Example: "The burning of tropical forests is a major cause of global warming" ("Global warming 101," 2012)
