Who is Matt?
Matt de la Peña is the author of books for teens. He received his Masters of Fine Arts in creative writing from San Diego State University and his Bachelors of Arts from the University of the Pacific, where he attended school on a full athletic scholarship for basketball.
Foster kid Sticky lives to play basketball at school and at the rec center. He dreams of playing pro ball, but can he really make it?
Half-Mexican, half-white, Danny Lopez doesn't think he fits in anywhere, except on the baseball field.
On the run from his past, Kidd finds a job and a girlfriend at the beach, until an old friend shows up and threatens to take it all away.
Miguel and two other guys break out of a group home and travel down the California coast hoping to get to Mexico and start a new life.
