3. Use the sun’s natural light in place of fluorescent lights whenever possible.
1. Turn off lights when you’re not using them.
4. Put technology tools in sleep mode when not using them.
2. Have an adult unplug technology tools when not in use.
5. Use desk lamps in place of overhead lights when possible.
How Does it Help?
It helps us by saving electricity.
When we save electricity it saves us money.
Finally, it reduces pollution in the world.
It also helps the Earth by causing less energy waste and conserving energy for the future.
When we save money, we can buy things we need for school
STEPS
We plugged in the volt meter (tool used to measure electricity used) and plugged in the technology tool into volt meter.
Measure technology tool in ON and OFF position with volt meter.
Recorded energy totals from technology tool in both ON and OFF positions onto our Google Doc.
Counted total number of technology tools in our school.
Calculate amount of energy used/cost per item to figure out how much we would save.
