Amazon.com
Throughout the 1990's the internet started to become popular. In 1994 Bezos left his job, and started to make a plan that would soon become Amazon.com. The first headquarters were Bezos garage and the company sold it's first book in 1995
How it all started
Each year, Amazon.com more than 3000 job openings. This in turn brought more people from other countries and improved the company's economy.
Economics
Amazon.com has effected the economy of Washington greatly, mostly because there are many job openings each year. The jobs bring in people from other countries and states, which in turn makes more money.
Economic Effect
With only two years of operation, Amazon became a public company in 1997. Amazon grew a ton when Bezos announed that Amazon.com would open an East Coast center in New Castle, Delaware.
Becoming Public
As people moved from other countries to work for Amazon.com, restaurant and stores were started to meet the needs of the people. For example people started stores for cultural food and restaurants.

Conclusion
In conclusion, Amazon.com affects Washington in many different ways, but the company has affected the economy and culture the most.
