Champlain grew up in France.
He lived until he was 68. Champlain represented France and
he was sailing for king Henry IV. Champlain Champlain traveled from 1599-1615.
He made sevral voyages to the West Indies,
Mexico,Panama,Vera Cruz, and Columbia. Goal:
Samuels goal was to find the Northwest passage through North America to get to Asia. Champlain had 5 ships on his voyage the first
was the Nugget, the second was the Pollo, the Berlin, the Mandon, and the Tonto. The route Champlain took was across the
Atlantic ocean and tried to follow the
ST. Lawrence river. Champlains had many hard ships on his travel.
one of them was when he had a run in with the
Iroquois tribe. Also when he came to the chambly
rapids him and his crew had to continue in canoes. Contact with Native people:
He became friends with the Algonquin and Huron tribes.
He also became enamies with the Iroquois tribes. Champlain did not get were he wanted
to go. He wanted to get to Asia by going
threw North America but he stoped at the

Died of a stroke in Quebec at the age of 68.
He was Roman Catholic.
