Transcript of Diigo on Prezi

Prezi and Social Bookmarking I am learning more about how to use Prezi, this presentation tool, by describing Diigo, a social bookmarking website. I collect information about subjects I'm interested in.

I use Google to search, I also follow a number of blogs, and I follow people on Twitter.

When I find something I might want to return to, I save it using What's this thing called "Diigo", you ask. It's a bookmarking tool. I don't save bookmarks in my web browser.

I click on the Diigo "d" in my browser and save my bookmark to my account on the Diigo website in the "cloud" and add interesting websites to my Diigo library You can see my tags, the words I added to help me find the websites again when I want them You can see the parts of the text I've highlighted, almost like a precis Diigo is social. What that means is you can see any of my bookmarks unless I have marked them "Private". AND ... You can use me as your research assistant by going to my Diigo account - http://www.diigo.com/user/joanvinallcox -

and searching for a tag - a word connected with something you're interested in - say "social" So ... you might want to Google "Diigo" and set up your own account and start saving, and tagging, websites you want to save
