Mia's Grassland Biome
In the Steppe grasslands, the climate is very dry and in the summer it is hot. In the winter it is cold.

The Prairie grasslands have a humid climate. It is also hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

The Savanna grasslands have warmer and dryer climates and seasonal droughts. They have rainfall six to eight months out of the year.

The Temperate grasslands are hot in the summers and cold in the winter. They have moderate rainfall and some seasonal droughts.
Plants
Today we are going to learn all about grasslands. I am going to teach you about the different grassland locations, climate, and the plant and animal life that you can find there. So, now let's get started!
Animals
In the Steppe grasslands, there are grazing animals such as antelope, squirrels and ferrets. There are also hawks, owls and snakes.

Prairie grasslands also have grazing animals. There are oxen, bison, horses, deer, coyote, sheep and cows.

The Savanna grasslands have animals such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, kangaroos, mice, snakes and beetles.

In the Temperate grasslands, you can find gazelles, zebras, rhinoceros, skunk, blackbirds, spiders and lions.
Fun Facts
Today people use Steppes for livestock to graze and grow wheat and crops. Almost 98% of the Prairie has been extinct in the past 150 years. Although there are still some people that are working to bring these grasslands back. The soil of the Savanna is porous, which makes the water drain quickly.
Introduction
The Steppe grasslands have shorter grass, cacti, and sunflowers.

The Prairie grasslands have tall grass, very few trees, rich soil, and lots of plant life.

Savanna grasslands have lots of different types of grasses and shrubs. The soil is not good for trees.

The Temperate grasslands have grasses, a few trees, and wild flowers.
Conclusion
I hope you liked learning all about
all the different types of grasslands,
the climate, the location of the grasslands, all about plant life and a bunch of stuff about living animals in different types of grasslands, and finally we talked about some really cool fun facts.
There are four different types of grasslands. The Steppe grasslands are located in North America and Europe. The Prairie grasslands are located in North America. The Savanna grasslands are located in Africa, Australia, South America and India. Lastly, the Temperate grasslands are located in South Africa, Hungary, Argentina, Uruguay and North America.
