Alien Cell
By: SAMMI
&
JESSICA
Dr. Sammi and Jessica were called out
to sort through the wreckage and find
the remain of what we think was a pilot
craft.
We took a sample back to our research
station and further examine the organism.
About The Alien Cell
+
When we examine the Alien Cell,
we found out that it was a combination
of a Muscle Cell and Neuron Cell.
Muscle Cell
Neuron Cell
The function of a Neuron Cell is that they
carry signals from the brain to other parts of the body to another
The function of the Muscle's Cell allows movement to occur
within different part of the body.
1.Nucleolus
2.Nucleus
3.Ribosome (the dots)
5.Rough endoplasmic reticulum
6.Golgi apparatus (or "Golgi body")
9.Mitochondrion
10.Vacuole
11.Cytoplasm
14.Cell membrane

Nucluous & Nucleus
They control the activities in the cell.

Ribosomes
They produce proteins for the cell
they are like the protein builders.
Rough Endoplasmic reticulum
This is a system of canals that materials are transported through these canals to many of the different parts of the cell, or to the outside of the cell.
Golgi apparatus
This organelle has similar
functions to Endoplasmic reticulum, it is another packaging organelle.
Mitochondrion
This is a energy producer, inside this organelle
small food particles are broken down to release their chemical energy for the cell's activities
Vacuole
This is a organelle that stores surplus food, waste, and other substances that the cell cannot use yet
Cell Membrane
This organelle's functions is to surround and protect
the contents within the cell. It also helps control
the movements if substances in and out of the cell.
Cytoplasm

The function of this organelle is to distribute materials such as oxygen and food to different parts
of the cell. It also helps support all the other parts inside the cell

The long branch fibers receive signals, from
Myofbril
It is a rod-like structure of
Muscle. That helps to contract
the muscle.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to our presentation.
Axon
Part of cell responsible for sending signals
different parts of the cell.
Schwann Cell
Repair and Regrow damaged nerves
+
Produces Myelin Sheath
Myelin Sheath
The function of the Myelin Sheath is to transmit impulse quickily.
Node of Ranvier
Gaps between Myelin Sheath. Allows signals to "Leap" allowing it to travel faster down the nerve cells.
