About Elsa Schiaparelli
Many of old brands forgotten from fashion house. Elsa Schiaparelli was one of the most Italian innovative couturiers of the 20th Century. She translated the basic elements of modern art, simplicity, continuity of line, and contrast, into wearable art.
She worked with a number of contemporary artists to develop her imaginative designs, most famously with Salvador Dalí.
History Line
1930 - 1939
Dies at home in Paris at the age of 83. She had been in a coma for several weeks following a stroke. She is buried in Shocking pink. Her looping signature is emblazoned in gold on her gravestone.
Elsa Schiaparelli was born at the Palazzo Corsini in Rome
Elsa moved to Paris from New York and in 1924, Meets the couturier Paul Poiret, who gives her clothes to wear and encourages her to do some freelance designing.
In 1927, Presents her first collection of geometric-design sweaters. First perfume, “S,” appears in the July 15th issue of Vogue.

After WWII, in 1954 Schiaparelli declared bankruptcy and closed her fashion house. Although she continued to re-work old themes such as the bustle and asymmetrical cuts, the war had radically changed not only the physical landscape of Europe but the fashion landscape along with it. Maybe war also affect mood and her aesthetic had simply gone out of fashion.
Designers nowadays do not really innovative, they only make clothes so people and the press would talk about them. Indeed, Madame Schiaparelli was revolutionizing fashion—and modernizing fashion presentations as we know them today.

Market segmentation is Behavioural and Psychographic.
Target customers are women who want to identify what "Elsa" represents which is; elegant, stylistic innovations, modern, expects craftsmanship of the highest quality and sophisticated.

Elsa is targeting between the age 30-45.

Chanel is a Parisian fashion house founded by

most established in haute couture, specializing
in luxury goods.Chanel is famous by it’s bag 2.55, and perfume N°5 and also it’s Chanel suit. Now Chanel actually is one of the leaders in the fashion industries.
Mr. McQueen was a showman with very high expectations for fashion. He knew how to cut a dress, a jacket and a pair of pants with the best of them, but that was not enough for him. He also wanted fashion to have weight and content and depth, so he put on presentations - spectacles, really - of his collections that aimed to have the punch of art and that were sometimes political, sociological, shocking and scary. The McQueen brand was just 18 years old when he died.
Givenchy is a luxury French brand of clothing, accessories, perfumes and cosmetics with Parfums Givenchy.
The house of Givenchy was founded in 1952 by designer Hubert de Givenchy
Prada is an Italian fashion label specializing in luxury goods for men and women (ready-to-wear, leather and fashion accessories, shoes, luggage, perfume etc.), founded in 1913 by Mario Prada.

There are over 7 billion people on this planet. 7 billion! If you count one number a second without stopping until you reach a billion, you’d be counting for 31 years, 259 days, 1 hours, 46 minutes, and 40 seconds. That’s how much a billion is.

If each person owned only one pair of pants, one shirt, and one jacket, that would be 21 billion articles of clothing. If you were to count each of those, one per second, it would take nearly 672 years. That’s a lot of clothes! And it’s safe to assume that many of us own more than three items of apparel.

Given that there are so many of us, and clothes are one of the three basic needs, the statistics surrounding the textile and fashion industry are nothing short of staggering.
