UVM's
Adventure Day Camp Adventure Day Camp -- "ADC" Rangers: Ages 4-6 Trailblazers: Ages 7-8 Vikings: Ages 9-11 ADC is a summer, day camp for kids between the ages of 4 and 11. Why ADC? I attended the camp as a "camper" for seven summers until I aged out of the camp I have always aspired to be a teacher and I felt that being a "CIT" (Counselor-In-Training) would be a great experience for me. It is a lot of fun! My Responsibilities Supervise campers and help to assist counselors/activity leaders
Escort campers to and from different activities
Create a safe environment for the campers
Act as a positive role model
Once a week: create an activity that the campers could engage in (i.e. an arts and crafts project, a fun card game, or a fun tag game) This great experience made me realize that I do want to be a teacher. My time as a CIT also taught me how to be patient, especially with the Rangers!
