Song: Heart Attack by Demi Lovato Scene: The letter from Sodapop to Ponyboy.
Song: Be Alright by Justin Bieber Scene: Johnny and Ponyboy star gazing.
Song: Oath by Cher Lloyd ft. Becky G. The Song I picked for this scene is Be Alright by Justin Bieber. I believe that this song goes great with the scene in the lyrics it says that “over the mountains, across the sky...” This reminds me on how they were apart in long distance. That is the only reason, there is many more, another thing that goes great with this scene because of the song is that in the letter Sodapop is telling Ponyboy that he really misses him and wishes he’ll come back and in the song lyrics “starting to forget the way you look at me…” is technically saying the same thing. One of the most important parts of this song that goes great with the scene is “I care for you and I’ll always be there for you” this is showing how much they actually do care. There is many other reasons why this song goes great with the scene, these are just a few. Sodapop's letter to Ponyboy Scene: The Rumble
Song: #That Power by Will.i.am ft. Justin Bieber In this scene there is major fighting going on between the Greasers and the Socs. The song I have chosen goes great with the scene because this song is showing who really has the power. Those are what the rumbles are about? The very begging of the song amazes me because I believe it describes Greasers. “ Oh I’m alive, I’m alive, I’m alive and oh I can fly, I can fly, I can fly, and oh I’m alive, I’m alive, I’m alive and I’m loving every second, minute, hour bigger better stronger, power. I got that power.” This amazes me because it is kind’ve saying that they have freedom and that they are loving second of it and gaining more power, they have more power than Socs (physically). This is a great song for this scene because it gives great details on who has the Power; those are what rumbles are about. The Rumble Pitbull: Give me everything tonight is a great description of the scene, this is because Dally is trying to get Cherry attention with this song there is many lyrics that go with this scene. One of the greatest parts of the song is that Dally is trying to get a cute Socs girl to pay attention again because you never know when it is going to happen again. Even though it doesn’t say he is trying to get his chance to actually talk to a socs and make her his girlfriend. With the lyrics going like “give me everything tonight” is trying to get her the lyrics go perfect with this scene. I also believe that song goes perfect because a section of this song says “Now I might drink a little more than I should tonight…” which remind me why Cherry and Marcia left their boyfriends behind because they were drinking and they didn’t like. This song I strongly agree goes perfectly with the scene. Dally missing with Cherry Isn’t Oath by Cher Lloyd just a great song to put on a soundtrack of The Outsiders Movie 2.0? I believe because Ponyboy and Johnny are like best friends and this song is about best friends. In this song it says everything that a best friend will do for a very close friend. “ you got a home for now and forever” I believe goes great with this scene because that is technically what Ponyboy says to Johnny that if he gets cold he can come over to his house to sleep for the night. This song describes greatly about the scene showing the friendship of Johnny and Ponyboy throughout the book. Ponyboy and Jonny stargazing and bonding!!! Stay is a great song for this scene since it is very sad because of a grieving moment when Johnny dies. This song is really good for this scene because this song is telling a person they want them to stay and that is what Ponyboy feels and wants Johnny to stay. You can tell by the emotions later on in the book, he can’t accept the idea of Johnny being dead and that he didn’t really die. His emotions go great because he really wishes Johnny could’ve been with the gang and not have died. Jonny was Ponyboy’s best friend! Johnny Dies! :( Cherry hopes to never see Dally ever again if not she might fall in love with him. The song “Heart Attack” is about love, and how if she falls in love with a guy she might have a heart attack which describes the scene perfectly. Cherry is a socs so she really cannot gout with a Greaser so as much as she would want she wouldn’t because a getting made fun of so if she sees him she will lose and break a to a love-heart attack!!! In this song Demi Lovato expresses her feeling for a guy which describes perfectly what Cherry is going through. The lyrics are great and they go great with this scene. Cherry Love scene <3 Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally are called heroes after saving the burning children from the church risking their own lives. This song is saying that nobody actually knows it but there is a hero in everybody. This is describes this scene because Greasers are called hero’s. According to all the police and Socs they are dumb kids with no money that are just in the streets making trouble but think again! Even a greaser can be a hero, even Dally. These 3 greasers risked their own life for children that got caught in a burning church. Johnny sacrificed his own life for these little kids that he didn’t even know! So there is a hero in every person you just have to believe and every small thing counts!
