What is the purpose of your artifact?
The purpose of an iPhone is that instead of you carrying 5 books and a dictionary to school or home to study, you can study almost anywhere with iPhones because it has Google, Youtube, and lots more to help you with your schoolwork/homework and it's also not heavy to carry at all.
What are some of the innovations that this product has undergone since it's original invention?
On June 29, 2007, the Apple Company released it's new smart phone called the iPhone which had buy/play music on the phone Via iTunes, surf via mobile browser thru wi-fi, watch videos (Youtube) & more memory and processing power (than any smart phone at the time). On the other hand, they added lots more to iPhone 6 for example: Sapphire screen, infranced camera, new health & fitness tools, 3d images, new control tools for home Appliances, and improved battery life.
Which of the areas of technology best classifies the artifact?
Information and Communication.
The original inventor was Steve Jobs. On June 29, 2007, Apple computers released it's new touch screen smart phone called iPhone. Over two hundred different patents (a government authority or license conferring a right or title for a set period, especially the sole right to exclude others from making, using, or selling an invention) were part of the design of the new iPhone, however Apple owns the patent.
Our artifact is an iPhone.
How has this product impacted on society in a negative way?
iPhone also has impacted on the society in a negative way because the phone has made it dramatically easier to communicate with others, but this is always not a good thing. The phone along with other smart phones have helped people send harmful messages and photos to one another.

Engineering

If you had the ability to change this product in any way, what would you change?
If I had the ability to change this product in any way, I would change the part where people can type badwords/harmful words to others. It's not nice to swear on youtube or any other place where you can type badwords.
