Launched in November 2011 by the Zoological Society of London, Instant Wild is a unique, cutting-edge conservation initiative.
Transmit live photographs of wildlife from motion sensitive cameras across the globe to members of the public & law enforcers for instant identification via web & smartphone applications.
Remotely observe and monitor wildlife and identify the presence of wildlife crimes (poaching)to better prioritise conservation action and attention.
Citizens of the world actively participating in the monitoring of wildlife through the use of innovative technologies.

Comments show that the app may be used for desk-bound wildlife spotting
User community is accurate in their identification over 92% of the time.

Difficulty in identifying smaller mammals especially at night (mongoose, small antelopes and rodents).
Version 2.0 allows users to have an ID and comment.
