Malcolm X Matt
Transcript of Malcolm X Matt
Born as Malcolm Little on May 19,1925 in Omaha,Ne. his childhood was really tough. When he was 3, his house burned down but nobody was harmed, When Malcolm was 6 his Dad Earl Little was hit by a car in 1931, and he was being taken care of by his Mom Louise. But she was in such shock that her husband (Earl) had been hit by a car that she went insane and was sent to an insane asylum which meant that Malcolm would be forced to move into a foster home because there was no one left to take care of him. When he got a bit older he told his teacher that he wanted to be a lawyer when he got older, but his teacher told him that he should give himself lower expectations and want to be a carpenter because he was black.(But Malcolm still became a lawyer anyway.) But a a couple years later in 1941 when he was about 15, he broke out of the foster home and started committing crimes. But in 1944 he was committed of larceny and went to jail for 22 years! But when he got out he got his life together. And he changed his last name to X because of his unknown African ancestors.
LIFE AS A MUSLIM
As a Muslim Malcolm changed his name to el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz and changed the religion forever. For one, he changed the population of the Islamic State a black hate group from 400 to 4,000 and he became good friends with the leader of the Islamic state Elijah Muhammad and became a leader of the Islamic state. But he broke off of the state of Islam to work on the topic of segregation and working with Martin Luther King Jr. to stop it.
When he broke off of the Islamic state they felt like Malcolm has portrayed them. But Malcolm knew he had to stop the severe problem of segregation. So he did and he worked with civil rights leaders such as Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. He made some great speeches and most of them were focused to stop segregation but unfortunately, he was shot 21 times by 3 members of the Islamic state because he left them to make equality between whites and blacks which ended his life.
