There are roughly 3500 company owned trucks
Having dedicated trucks means Wal-Mart can replinish its stores twice a week
All Drivers must have 300,000 accident free miles and no major traffic violations
A record is kept of all driving activites in the private fleet driver handbook
Each Wal-Mart manages its own stock to help keep inventory costs down
Bar coding and radio frequency technology play an important role for Wal –Mart to mange their inventories
