DEUTERIUM LIKE PROTIUM, DEUTERIUM IS ALSO A HYDROGEN ISOTOPE. THIS ISOTOPE HAS 1 PROTON AND 1 NEUTRON. DEUTERIUM IS NOT RADIOACTIVE. YOU CAN ALSO EXTRACT THIS ISOTOPE FROM SEAWATER. TRITIUM TRITIUM IS A HYDROGEN ISOTOPE. THIS ISOTOPE IS RADIOACTIVE, IT'S HALF LIFE IS ABOUT 10 YEARS. THIS FORM OF HYDROGEN HAS 1 PROTON AND 2 NEUTRONS. TRITIUM CANNOT BE MADE NATURALLY BUT YOU CAN BOMBARD LITHIUM WITH NEUTRONS TO MAKE IT. HELIUM-3 HELIUM-3 IS A HELIUM ISOTOPE

SINCE THE SUN HAS SO MUCH GRAVITY (FROM ITS MASS) THERE IS ENOUGH PRESSURE TO FORCE HYDROGEN INTO A FUSION REACTION AN ISOTOPE IS AN ATOM OF THE SAME ELEMENT THAT HAS THE SAME NUMBER OF PROTONS AND ELECTRONS BUT IT HAS A DIFFERENT AMOUNT OF NEUTRONS A PROTON-PROTON CHAIN IS ONE OF THE WAYS THE SUN PRODUCES IT ENERGY THIS IS THE PHYSICS OF A PROTON PROTON CHAIN FIRST, 2 PROTONS FORM A DEUTERIUM ATOM. THEN THE DEUTERIUM ATOMS COMBINE WITH ANOTHER PROTON. THIS FORMS HELIUM-3. NEXT, 2 HELIUM-3 ATOMS COMBINE TO MAKE BERYLLIUM-6 WHICH IS UNSTABLE. AFTER THAT, BERYLLIUM-6 DECAYS INTO HELIUM-4.TWO HELIUM-3 ATOMS CAN ALSO JUST FUSE TOGETHER TO MAKE HELIUM-4.
