About The Company
A Little About The Founders
Lee-Kun-Hee (left) and Steve Jobs (right)
For three years Apple and Samsung have been tied on a scale almost never before in the business history. Their legal war costs almost more than a billion dollars and spanning four continents. The war began when Apple did a super-secret project of creating the iPhone and the late Steve Jobs's fury when Samsung-an Apple supplier-brought out a device that was very similar to the iPhone. Kurt Eichenwald explored the Korean company's record of patent infringement among other ruthless business tactics. Kurt then explains why Apple might win the battles, but still loose the war. Some people accuse Samsung of stealing the idea of making a smartphone from Apple. Some even say that Samsung
Apple's iPhone. Some of Apple's executives went to a meeting in the Samsung Electronics Building, where they discussed their products. Apple's associate general counsel, Chip Lutton, accused Samsung of copying the iPhone. "You copied the iPhone. The similarities are completely beyond the possibility of coincidence." accused Chip. "How dare you say that!" Seungho Ahn snapped back. "We have been making cell phones for years!" and the argument keeps going on. Ever since then...Apple and Samsung have been tied on the charts, costing both companies over a billion dollars on smartphones.

Some Of The Apple Products
The company that brought technology to another level
Apple's first Macintosh (Mac)
In 1997 Apple's stock was selling the lowest in ten years ($13 per share). Their product Macintosh (Mac) was outdated, the Newton (a product) was not selling very well, and they had forced their second CEO out of the business (they actually kicked him out of their business!). The people that worked at Apple thought that the business would soon be over...forever. But when Steve Jobs came to the business and became the CEO in 1998, he created the iMac. The company then went through a large section of growth in their selling. Now, the new CEO of Apple is Tim Cook. Now Apple is one of the highest selling company on the charts...along with Samsung.
