eventually connected Ohio
with St.Louis. 2.After the Civil War, Ohio
experienced tremendous
growth in railroad mileage. 3.The first railroad in Ohio
was the Erie and Kalamazoo
railroad. 1.With technological today
railroads inproved. 2.Railroading today is
seeing a renaissance
of freight traffic not
experienced since WWII. 3.Today, the newest
locomotives are
becoming increasingly
more environmentally
friendly. 1.There are nearly 75,000
farms in ohio. 2.Ohio is still one of the
nation's leaders in
agriculture. 3.agriculture remains
Ohio's #1 industry today. 1.Fwarmers had the most
success during times
of war, providing its
allies with food. 2.Prior to the 1800s, most
people who called Ohio home
earned thier living through
farming. 3.Most Ohio farmers who
prodused a surplus , sold
thier products locally or
sent them down the Ohio
& Mississippi Rivers to
New Orleans. 1. Today, all kids are
required to go to school. 2.Teachers are assigned
to teach only one grade
level. 3.now kids go to different
classes for each subject. 1.then they stayed in
one class room. 2.one teacher taught
all subjects. 3.back then they learned
in a wooden house
