Transcript of Transition Words

Transition Words By Anthony Cifuentes and Jason Vallejo Transition words are very important words to use. You need to know what order and spots to put them in. First off, we will give an example of a paragraph without transition words. This will show how disorganized a paragraph can get without these transition words. I went to Dorney Park. It was a great experience that I will never forget. I went on many fun rides. I ate a lot of food. We went on more fun rides. It was a really fun day! What do you think? Now let's see what a paragraph looks like with transition words. One day, I went to Dorney park with my friends. It was a great experience that we will never forget. When we arrived, we went on amazing fun rides, mostly on the roller coasters. Next, we took a nice long break from our yelling to get something to drink and eat. Later on, we went on more fun rides. It was the best day ever. Now that sounds better! Now we will show an example of a paragraph that do not use the right transition words. Next, I was walking down the street and I saw a chicken! It was incredible! Lastly, I chased after him. He scurried so fast, that he hit a lamp post. First and foremost, I slowly walked away so that nobody would accuse of me of abusing a chicken. Now lets try a paragraph that uses the correct transition words. Firstly, I was walking down the street and I saw a chicken! It was incredible! Next, I chased after it. He scurried so fast that he hit a lamp post. Lastly, I slowly walked away so that nobody would accuse me of abusing a chicken. Sounds great, right? It showed the order that the events occured in and it made the paragraph complete and in order. Now, we will show a paragraph that has better and vivid transition words. The soccer game from last night was amazing! Essentially, Real Madrid made a ton of perfect passes! Every pass they made wasn't off and no one intercepted them. Sequentially, the game finished 3-1. I was cheering and yelling like crazy. In conclusion, Real Madrid wins the champion's league. The fans were screaming and taking off their shirts. With those transition words, the paragraphs sounds much better! Now its time for a pop question! Name a transition word that starts with the letter "D" Decisively! We hope you enjoyed our prezi presentation!
