Sir Cumference and the Isle of Immeter By : Kayla Muetz, Bridget Rockwell, Kaitlyn Roets, and Blair Wasser What is the Isle of Immeter about? The Isle of Immeter is about a girl,Per, and her cousin ,Radius, adventure to the Isle of Immeter. After Per's uncle Sir Cumference told them about it while playing a game of inner outer. What are two jobs that use the skills in the book? One job was an architect And the other is a video game designer What are the vocabulary words in this book? Perimeter Circumference Radius: Diameter and Area The next morning Per woke up early and found Radius already awake So together they sailed to the island which was guarded by a fearsome sea serpent. Once they were they they had to solve 3 problems without being eaten. The first challenge was to find a door covered in squares with the same number inside as out like their game. (Mind the dragon) The second challenge was to a key shape with half as many inside as outside. When Per stays up late to practice she finds a clue linking the game to the mysterious castle on the island of Immeter. She wants figure out how to find the perimeter and area of a circle to unlock the island's secret. Once they found the key shape with half as many in as out, Radius found a loose tile with a key under it. The third and final challenge was to find a tower where 200 floor squares fit inside a round room. en.allexperts.com/9/Geomotry-2060/Area-Permieter-Circumference.htm Citations www.wikkipedia.com/archetect/ Once they found the room they rang the bell 200 times equal to the number of squares in the tower. Then the sea serpent came up to the tower and gave Per a locket. Then once they returned Per was made lady Per of Immeter. a straight line extending from the center of a circle or sphere to the circumference or surface the border or outer boundary of

How they use it is the same way ,dimensions, but in a more technological way. What type of critical thinking took place in the book? When they were faced with the challenge of finding a circular room with 200 squares they found out that if you multiply the distance halfway around a circle by the distance from its edges you get the circumference. http://books.google.com/books?id=FB6idcLzXOoC&pg=PA9&lpg=PP1&dq=sir+cumference+and+the+isle+of+immeter
